Renegade Other Worlds

Step through the portal. Journey across boundless realms — and find each other along the way.

The invitation

You are invited to journey through boundless realms

Welcome to Renegade: Other Worlds! Please accept our invitation to journey through boundless realms. Explore new and exciting vistas, meet other travelers at waystations, make friends from distant lands, meander across a clearing of surreal flowers, or gaze awestruck at assorted monoliths of uncertain provenance.

Every theme camp, every art installation, and around every corner could be a door to an unexplored horizon. Will you discover a new planet teeming with life, or stumble through a portal to a world full of magic and myth?

Because the real magic isn't the scenery — it's who you find there. We believe connection is a necessity, not a luxury, and that gathering is how we build community and imagine new futures.

Why we gather

Every ticket helps keep live events safe

Renegade is the first fundraising event for Safety Camp, produced by Catalyst Events — a nonprofit dedicated to helping other nonprofits produce safe, sustainable live events.

Safety Camp is our hands-on educational conference, where volunteers and organizers gain the real-world skills to run live events safely.

Every ticket you buy helps fund future years of Safety Camp — so the people who build our community's events can keep doing it well, and doing it safely.

Refunds & Financial Transparency

Please be aware that due to the risks of hosting a first-year event, up to 50% of ticket costs may be non-refundable. Should Renegade be unable to proceed, all funds remaining after non-refundable event expenses will be returned to attendees.

Non-refundable expenses include land usage costs, vendor deposits (primarily paid to small, local vendors), orders already in production, etc. If any non-refundable ticket funds are used, the Catalyst Board will provide a full and transparent accounting of where those funds went within 30 days of cancellation.

The Catalyst Events Board is committed to minimizing the financial risk to our attendees, and to ensuring financial transparency with our community. This disclosure is being made front and center to honor those commitments, and is not reflective of any specific concerns around producing the event.
